This is my story

ACCIDENTALLY INSANE

This book shares my journey of losing my home, marriage, community, business, and nearly my children due to a distorted self-image that resulted in a bipolar disorder diagnosis.

In this book I describe how I rebuilt my life, emphasizing that living true to our passions and beliefs is essential  for happiness and peace.

I hope this story supports you as much as writing it supported me.

A HANDBOOK OF 30 TECHNIQUES TO:

Every story has two sides, especially when it comes to people like us. This is a
tale of losing my marriage, business, community, friends, and all my possessions,
and nearly losing my children as well due to a bipolar personality disorder diagnosis.
I want to share how I rebuilt my life using various techniques. This is a story about
my journey to hell and back. If you understand the significance of those two images, then this book is for you.

Can we truly live a 100% healthy life while managing bipolar disorder? Is it possible to run a business, raise children, be a
marketing lecturer, and discuss mental health at universities? Can we teach kids, write books, travel, and find love while
creating a healthy home?
Yes, I believed it was possible—so I made it happen!

…..

I have always dreamed big.

While other children plucked weeds in the fields or picked berries for pocket money,  I was planning my first event. It featured performers, a café, and an actual audience—all the works. It didn’t matter that the treats were brought from the village shop, the performers were just me and a few cooler kids from the village, and the  concert took place in an old barn. Everyone came.

I was 9 years old, and we earned the first hundred kroons of our lives. That day sparked immense curiosity in me about life, business, and dreams. Since then, I have always hustled, exchanged, and sold something, creating along the way. Even back then, I was restless, a visionary, and a dreamer. This curiosity for life has stayed with me into adulthood.

However, my curiosity for life has lifted me high but also pushed me to the ground. The most recent and hardest lesson  came a few years ago when I took on too many exciting projects. I got greedy. My curiosity and drive had taken my life to a comfortable place. I had a lovely home in a manor house that had won many awards, a good marriage, and two  beautiful children. My daughter was eight months old when I opened Kau Manor and its restaurant, and afterward, I  created my own lifestyle company.
